9/7/2023 0 Comments Sct tuner unlock code![]() Nonetheless, it turns out that the cable is the problem. I had installed a very nice OBD-II splitter cable (photo below), but was taking care to disconnect my UltraGauge from the other arm of the wye before trying to upload tunes. Tom, I will call you in the morning per your reply on my other thread. I gave Tom the engine strategy code that the X4 reported, but if there is a pre-existing custom tune could that be locking me out?Īnd thoughts or advise welcome. Everything else seems stock, and no additional equipment I am aware of. It had stiffeners front and back between the suspension posts. It is possible this car may have had a custom tune before I bought it (from a dealer). This suggests that I must have a bad ground somewhere on the component side of things (as opposed to the battery ground - which now should be perfect). I assume that the first is data from the ECU, of voltage the ECU is seeing, and the second reading is the voltage the X4 is seeing between the OBD-II connector and ground. (2) On the Device Info screen I get 11.6 volts. ![]() (1) On the Datalog screen I get 12.4 volts. After a quick drive after all that, I checked the voltage in two ways that are possible with the X4. I have also tried uploading with the X4 with all unnecessary fuses pulled. I accessed the wires in the hatch flex tube, and taped 4 wires that had missing insulation and also pulled all panels off the inside of the hatch for a thorough inspection. I cleaned one ground and tested another under the dash board. Clean metal, paint removed, dielectric grease. I fixed one electrical problem this weekend (see the thread "Dim ABS light - But I don't have ABS! (Makes problem with SCT tuner)"), and have cleaned up two grounds near the left and right strut pillars in the engine bay. The error message is "Upload Error #110BE - Unable to unlock vehicle." ![]() (I have no preloaded tunes, since I got the X4 from Tom.) This is in a 2005 ZX3. The firmware is up-to-date and I get failures both a custom tune and a stock tune that SCT gave me to try uploading as a custom tune in case there is something wrong with the custom tune I got. I have a new SCT X4 that won't upload tunes, and last week I had a number of calls with SCT tech people. ![]()
